My Webpage these are the pictures the molly is in the breeding nest i think its a female im not sure but what i did was add both molly into the breeding nest someone take a look at these pics tell me what i should do and weather or not should i keep them together in the breeding nest or should i just leave the female
If you're talking about the one in the breeder net, it looks like some kind of Hi-Fin Platy to me. But I'm not sure I'm looking at the right pictures. Can you give me the names/numbers of the ones you're talking about?
Who is 'they'? It's best to just keep one female, per breeder net. I personally don't like breeder nets, as they can stress the fish out, but each to their own.
That does not look like a molly. I have to agree with Annastatia that that is a Hi-fin platy and if you could get a picture out of the breeder net. THANK YOU
I see all the pictures, thanks, but some are tank pictures, and ones of Angelfish and such. I wondered if I was looking at the right thing, or not. I'm talking about the pictures of a fish, in the net. You can't see it very well. Is that right?
annastasia ur right i am sorry it not a molly its a platy and bili its a hassel to take it out of the net b.c my tank is deep and it takes me a while to get the damn suker back into the net im sorry that the picture it not so clear
I would guess she's slightly pregnant, but it's hard to see through the net. I would say she's very far along...but once again, it's hard to tell exactly. How dark is her gravid spot, and how fat is she?
It's a dark spot found behind the anal fin on some females. You can see the fry growing there, somewhat. The coloring should be brownish, but it depends on the color of the fish as yellow fish will tend to have red ones, as so on. Some don't even show gravid spots.
Taking her out of the net or not is personal preference, I would say it would be the best, and least stressful idea for her. You can always put the fry in there to grow them up a bit once they are born.
she has a black spot by her butt and so does my other one but at the store they gave me a male and female..well at least thats what they told me but anyways i feel bad taking her out of the net b.c if those frys get eatn i will be upset see i dont get alot of time to spend by the tank to moniter the fry so i rather leave her in the net but she is big well comparing to the other one
