Is Maracyn Bad For Marimo Balls?

Ok, completely unrelated to anything right now but i always use Maracyn 1 and 2 if I get a bad bacterial problem in my tank... I was wondering would it kill my Marimo Balls if I ever end up using it anytime soon (HOPEFULLY NO TIME SOON)....Since Marimo Balls are algea I was worried because I have read of people using Maracyn to get rid of blue green algea ........
