Is it true that malawis shouldnt have food like flake etc with more than 40% protein??

Erm... no. Veggie protein is ok, but too much of meaty protein is not.

Yea.. and it should state what kind of fish it is best suited. Like, for Malawis, you'd want a flake for herbivorous fish and/or Rift Lake cichlids.

Flake's i feed mine are Tetra Veggie flake for herbivours and Spirulina Flake for Malawi's... (A good quality Spirulina flake is usually reccomended for Malawi's).

I do feed mine a meaty protein pellet...BUT 2 of my three species ARE carnivores and the third is an omnivore. Just make sure you know what your species needs before you buy or revamp the diet
