They do need something to hold onto during transit. Whenever I have bought them off the net, they have come with moss or filter wool in the bag. I normally put some Vallis in with mine when I post them, as I have loads of it. Anyone who knows what they are doing (and that ebay link sounds like they do) will put something in with them.

thanks, where did you buy from?
i did ask them the question would there be something in the bag with them but they haven't got back to me yet ... im hoping there is (i really want them shrimp)

I have had 2 lots from ebay and neither lot came with anything else inside the bag (just shrimp and water).

Every shrimp was alive, and are still alive in my tank till this day :good:

thanks =] i got a reply back from one of the sellers saying that they did have something to hold onto. =]

how do you sex a shrimp?

I have bought a couple of bags from ebay in the past and they have had moss, but I suppose it depends on each seller.

I think that the ones you are looking at are a colour variation of Red Cherry Shrimp so females will be more colourful, slightly larger and have rounder bulkier underbellies. The males will carry slightly less colour, possibly to the extent that they will have clear streaks or patches on their sides and they will be thinner, especially in their underbelly region.

it is the colour morph on the cherry =] and thanks (hopefully if i tell the seller that i can get them in a male to female ratio =D so they breed) =]

theres only 2 sellers on ebay at the moment selling theses. one of them adds something (but there the more expensive one and dont know how to sex them), waiting for a reply from the other one =]

I imagine that they will only be approx 1cm when you receive them. At that size, it will be pretty much impossible to sex them anyway. If you buy at least 10 then you will have a pretty good chance at obtaining a breeding group.

i was thinking of getting 10 =] :good: so lets hope there not all males...or females...

my first seller has put the price up to £99! what? ... so it looks like i might be buying from the other more expensive one this one...

im not happy + the other one ends in 13 hours (im not ready to buy them yet...) not happy at the moment...

does anyone know if these guys ship to the UK? anyone used them?... it looks like there's a shortage of these shrimp in the UK at the moment

I've got a feeling they meant to make them £9.99 or 99 pounds.

Or some guy bid £99.99 for some odd reason......

they were 2:99 earlier tonight. i think they ran out of stock to be honest so they put the prise up its on a buy it now so a big wouldn't matter.

its a pain trying to get hold of these... im defo starting breeding them once i do >.> (hardly anyone sells them in the uk as far as i can see online)

The seller has a shop. I believe it to be quite good too. Try phone them tomorrow and see how often they get them in.
