Hi Everone !

Just a quick question about my mollie...

She gave birth to 20 fry on February 19th and is obviously pregnant still. On Monday I noticed her acting really weird.

I put in this little cave thing in the tank and she will swim up to it and repeatedly brush her side really hard against it. She swims up slow and then hits it. It's almost like she's trying to tell me she doesn't like it !!

At the same time I also noticed her being pretty snippy with the other fish. Not wanting them to come near her. I thought she was going to have more fry so I put her in the breeding net Monday night. By Tuesday night there was still no fry so I moved her back to into the main tank so as not to stress her out.

Today (Saturday) she is still hitting her side up against the new cave thingy but she has also started swimming up and down really fast along the front of the tank. She just keeps going up and down and up and down and won't stop.

Like I said her last batch of fry was Feb. 19th....no males in the tank but she was still quite pregnant after her last batch.

Is it time? Will she have more soon? Can I move her back to the breeding net? I don't want to stress her too much but I also don't want all the fry to get eaten....and THEY WILL. My fish are evil!

As you can see in my sig, I tried to put the fry back in the main tank and lost 8 of them!!! :-(

Thanks for the help!

Heather
