Is It Safe To Buy Plants From A Tank That Has Brush Algae

Well this LFS is the only one around that has riccia, and they are in a tank that has some brush algae on some rocks (looks like small black turfs or bushes).... safe to buy the riccia? I don't want my whole tank to be affected if I buy the riccia from that tank... the riccia itself looks clear...

yeah buy it with complete confidence. if it hasn't got any algae on it, algae will only grow on it in your tank because of the conditions in your tank, if at all, not his

It would put me off, but to be honest most tanks will have algae any so adding some riccia probably wont add it to the tank as it'll already be there. As thegnu says it'll only grow in your tank if the conditions are right or wrong depending which way you look at it!
