Hey everyone-

Well, I have been doing this fishless cycling for about 15 days now. My NH3 started to drop off over a week ago, probably closer to 10 days. I have continued to add NH3 daily to keep it at or around 5 ppm. Within the last 2 days the NO2 has started to drop off as well. Once I started to notice the NO2 dropping off I started to take readings on NO3. My NO3 has never went above 15 ppm. I remember people saying your tank would turn brown, and algae would be everywhere. It's not! It is a little dirty, but for the most part, it looks good! Here is the most important factor. One of you told me that I would know when the tank is ready, by adding enough NH3 to bring the level up to 5 ppm. If your NH3 and NO2 read zero ppm 12 hours later, your cycle is complete. My readings are zero on NH3 and NO2 after 12 hours. My NO3 is at bout 10 ppm. Is it safe to do a water change to bring the NO3 levels down to zero, and dare I say......Is it close to being able to add some fish? Thanks for all the help and feedback!!! This has taken alot of patience, I dont think I would have been able to do it without your help. Thanks......... :D

imo 15 days isnt enough i left mine over a month with a fishless cycle
