Is it OK to feed my fish bugs?

recently i found out that my Boesemani Rainbow fish loves moths, and will jump to get them. i make sure they are small enough for him to swallow, but could this be bad for the tank?

I wouldn't say "yes" for definite, but any foreign object in a tank that you either haven't cleaned, or do not know their origin, I wouldn't trust.

I feed my danios any moths that are flying around the room. Its fine, but the powdery stuff off them can mess up the water a bit.

I wouldn't. You never know what petsiticides or chemicals have been on the bugs.
