Is it common for guppies to give birth to dead fry
I had my Guppy in a breeding trap for about a week and when i came home today i found 6 dead curl fry nothing alive

Yes, in a breeding trap, it is common. The breeding straps stress the fish and you lose fry a lot of the time. I would skip the breeding strap and just give her her own birthing tank. If that's not possible, just let her give birth in the main tank. Normally a few of the fry will survive if you provide hiding places.

Thanks for the quick answer i had success with platys so far i will try next time with her own tank

Yes, premature birth can cause dead fry in a curled up positon.

Moving mum to early to a breeding trap can cause prem labour.

Thats very sad and unfortuante for you.

Keep an eye on mum as prem labour can cause some problems.

I let mine give birth in the normal tank with all the others. Mine gave birth to 35 fry the other day and none were dead.

Thanks
my mistake i moved her because my beta was hunting out the babies the last time although the tank is planted 250 Lt never thought of moving the beta in the breeding trap.
Well now i know
