ive had my tank up for nearlly a month now but all i have in there are plastic plants some rocks and a cave thing but i think my fish need some live plants if it isnt to late what plants should i get for a 15 gal gravel tank the temp is 26c-27c i need a plants that can grow in those conditions any ideas. :dunno:

You can always add plants. There are many plants that will grow in small tanks. The information needed to recommend species though is missing, to whit, your water chemistry and most importantly, how much light you have over the tank. You are going to need about 40 Watts of full spectrum fluorescent lighting over that tank to get it to "Medium" lighting for example.

There are plants that will do okay with less, but low light slow growing plants will not produce much Oxygen.

Why do you think you need more Oxygen?

i think it would be a better enviroment if i had plants to give fish more oxygen and to keep them healthy they are doing fine now but what about in the future.

plants don't produce a lot of oxygen in water, most of the oxygen is supplied by the surface movement of your tank

as for adding plants, any time is good to add plants :)

Vallisneria plants do well in most conditions, so those java fern and java moss.
