My opaline gorami has some pink color on his nose and fins. he's never had this before and I've had him for 2 years. Is he sick, how do i treat him????

Size of tank in gallons or litres?
How many fish and which type?
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

The pink on the nose does it have any white edges, or a white centre?
Is the pink on the nose a patch, or looks like fluffy cotton wool?
Any signs of red streaking in fins, or body?
Do the fins have a pink, white, red, brown edging.

hes in a 25 gallon. the ph is 7, temp 27 c., dh is 12. it looks just like coloration around his mouth and pectoral fins. he is with a female who hides away 24/7. she is opaline too.

Do you have ammonia, nitrite test kit?
What other fish do you keep in the 25 gallon tank?

Is it possible to load a pic onto the site of the fish with the pink mouth, and fins.

no sorry no photos. he is with female as i said. she has done him no harm. yes i have one, the quality is fine!!!

Sorry. Just needed to check.
It sounds bacterial. So I would add a bacterial med to your tank
What does the mouth area look like? Any cotton strands, or cotton wool patches.

OK.
If no improvement in a few days don't hesitate getting back to your thread.

Good Luck.

All bacteria infections can pass onto fish if there immune system is weak. Fish are stessed.
Bacteria can gain entry throw cuts. and wounds.

Preform some daily changes and just add the correct amount of medication back to water removed.

Good Luck.

if its just coloration will it cause them any harm ( the anti bacterial)

The fish should be fine with the bacterial med. If you have inverts, I would remove them from the tank when using medications.

Just mark sure the pink marks doesn't form a circling of dead white tissue around the edges. As this means the fish has an ulcer.
