Is Condensation In Lid A Problem?

Hi

I set up my new Rena tank a couple of days ago (no fish yet obviously) and I have noticed a large amount of condensation on the inside of the lid which is dripping down over the lights.

The lid is a coated brushed aluminium so won't get damaged, but I am wondering about the lights - is it safe?

When I have had a tank in the past I had one of those plastic sheets below the lights and above the water but I don't think one would fit on this tank

think it should be ok as long as the end of the buld has the screw fitting at each end to keep water out.

It has - there is a screw up collar around both ends of each tube

i think thats normal, you shouldn't have a problem
