Is a 36W light enough for a 168L tank?

hi all

i have a 36w light, and i want to know is that enough light to grow plants comfortably?

if not hoiw much more watts of light would i need?

tank dimensions:
120 x 40 x 35(cm)

The guys and girls over in the planted section might know better :)
 
at less than 1 watt per gallon, you'll have trouble getting most plants to grow...low light plants such as java fern and java moss may do OK, but you really should consider upgrading to 90 total watts or more to get 2 watts per gallon, which is considered average.... keep in mind that you should purchase fluroescent tubes with a Kelvin rating in the 5000-6500K range... if the light you are using happens to be incadescent (like a standard light bulb in a lamp), then it is next to useless for plants and you should consider buying at least a fluroscent and preferably compact fluroscent fixture as they are more efficient and generally cheaper in the long run
