Is 4dkh From Aquaessentials Ok? If Not How Do You Make Your Own?

How do you use the solution, just add ph indicator to the drop checker? how do you fill it up, and how much?

Yeah I use it and it is much easier and more accurate then making your own. You just add it to your drop checker and then add a few drops of PH indicator. How much you use depends on the size of your drop checker. My drop checker takes about 4ml to fill up and I put 3 drops of indicator in. The actual amount you use doesnt matter.

It will last you forever as well (had mine for about 8-9 months now and not even used 1/4 of the bottle).

Yeh I change the water once a month when I clean the external filter. One note though, rinse out the drop checker with the 4dKH water then add some fresh as I rinsed it out with tap water once and the residual KH in what was left in the checker changed the KH of the 4dKH water I added so it gave a false reading. Guess its such a small amount of water it doesn't take much to change the KH.
