6-8 panda corys

I already have a fluval 2 bt its nt powerful enough

that would give you 6x turnover which is reasonable. it's certainly not useless but i'd personally prefer a little bit more especially with a plec in the tank

oh god, sorry i'm being a real div. worked it out on 29l not 29gals. apologise, please ignore what i've already said.

yeah that gives you 2.34x turnover, not good enough with a plec

ideally i'd aim for 7/8 x turnover, on your tank that means you need 750lph worth of filtration (or there abouts) minimum

Fluval 2 filters are really for tanks up to 90l and have a turnover rate of about 400l/h, so this isn't really good enough.

I use an ehiem classic 2213 on my 120l and it works brilliant. I know very little about filters but it is rated at up to a 250 tank and apparently only has a 440lph.

If you wanted you could probably run it with the fluval 2+ and this might be enough?

Fluval 2+ are 105gph (about 400lph) which are good for anything up to 24USgal (90l).
