Do I need to add iodine to the water for my 2 ghost shrimp? I have read that I do? What is the best way to add, iodized salt or drops?
Is Hikari Crab Cuisine safe for freshwater tropicals? I know if I put it in for just the shrimp the other fish won't listen to me and will still eat at least some of it. Or is there another way to feed it?cometcattle said:I've heard (from a very reputable shrimp breeder) that there is no scientific proof that inverts can absorb iodine through their skin. They get it from fish food and algea. He's never added a drop to his tanks.
If you're really concerned that your shrimp aren't getting enough iodine in their diet, I believe Hikari Crab Cuisine is loaded with it.
