Hi, my names Mark and i'm a fishoholic, lol

At present i run a Fluvel 125 with an external pump far superior for my tank, hey ho. I used to own Puffer fish so the extra filtration worked very well. As we all know, puffers can be rather messy, especially when eating. Unfortunatly i had a water issue which led to the death of near on all my tank mates :(

Since then i lost interest in my tank and inhabitants for near on a year but have since found the love again. I am in the process of getting every thing right again, adding plants and and restocking. I added a gorgeous blue Siam fighter only for him to die with in 36 hours. I have tested my water over and over, including my LFS testing twice in three days. Alas the water is fine. A day later i lost a frog as well :(. He was best part of four years old mind so i assumed that was down to old age.

Any way, thats me and my worries, lol.

Hello every one and sorry for any stupid questions that i may ask along the way.

Hi, yeah i'm positive its cycled ok, its been running for nearly three years lmao

Just one of those things i guess, my LFS are as baffled as the rest of us. It was suggested that the Siam wasn't keen on the flow rate of teh water and was maybe bullied by a black widow tetra :(

ohhh i thought u meant you gave up for a year as in emptied your tank lol

i doubt those tetras would do any harm... my girlfriend has 4 of them and they dont bother any of the smaller fish :/ hmm its a strange 1, maybe the fighter was already doomed when u bought him?

Lol, no. I basically neglected it for a year, oddly enough no deaths either thankfully.

The thing being with the Siam, in his planted display tank he looked very healthy and active. I get him home and he had the right hump, lol.

You live and learn from your mistakes. I think i'll just wait and get some more SAP's as i love them little buggers :)

It wasn't pretty thats for sure. The strage thing was i hadn't done a water change in a good couple of months, in fact it was that bad i had a layer of green on the front of my tank. It was truely hideous. Yet did a water test prior to a change to see what i may of been up against and the peramaters were fine lmao.

fairplay your filtration must kick #16##### then with no maintenance whatsoeva lol... glad you've caught the bug again now :) make sure u post some pics up when its back in its glory again ! :good:
