Introducing Younger Fish Into A Mature Tank?

Hi everyone ive had some success breeding ellioti's and grown a few to about 1.5 inch, at what point would you introduce them or are they to small yet , ive got a few geophagus brasiliensis in that are around 5 inches and others of same size , would you grow them a little bigger before introducing or would it be ok now .any thoughts would be appreciated

The usual rule is "If a fry can fit in another fish's mouth it will probably get eaten" Mind you geos are not great hunters so you may be OK. I'd say hang onto the fry till you are sure they are too big to be eaten if you have the space
