Introducing Slowly?

I am thinking of adding a group of otos to my tank (isolation tank first of corse) but while doing my research i keep reading about the importance of slowly introducing them to the tank... Are they just talking about slowly adding water from the tank into the bag before they make the plunge? Just wanna double check.

It could mean that, or it could mean don't add like 5 to the tank at the same time so the bio load doesnt increase so drastically..

Most likely it means acclimatize them slowly, but I guess it could be either.
