I am about to introduce this week-end a trio of Red Empress into an 88 gallon tank which has had malawis in since late January this year. They are all growing well and seem to be getting along well.

Has anyone out there got any advice for when I introduce the new trio into the tank. I had thought about covering the tank with a blanket for 2-3 days to take the strain off the new fish.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If possible moving the rocks around will help, as they established fish will be too busy picking new territories to bother the new fish. If that's not possible, I've found the best time to add a new fish is in the evening after their last feeding. Good luck!
