Fish Crazy
Hi, I won't bore you with telling you about me, since... who cares, this forum is about fish. Anyway, I guess I will say that I'm in Wyoming.
Anyway, I have a 10 gallon tank with...
3 Tiger Barbs
3 Serpae Tetras
3 Golden Wonder Killies
1 Albino Corydora
Everywhere I've read, people say that Tiger Barbs are a bad idea in any number uner 5 or 6... But I just haven't experienced any trouble at all with them. When I first got them they were pretty much territorial, pushing away any of my curious Neon Tets (at the time, they have since passed on). But I just introduced the 3 Serpaes, and the Tiger Barbs don't seem to care at all. There's even one Barb that keeps trying to hang out with the Serpae group (not nipping, just wanting to swim with them in a school or something) and they keep trying to get away from him. It's almost like high school
In any case, that's what's up with my fish. I don't have any special filters or anything. Just the one that came with my tank (which funny enough is the culprit behind killing my neon tets... I've been told that either the filter is too strong or the fish were already weak or dead.) All fake plants and rocks and gravel... I might go with real stuff someday, but in my current, poor situation - I'm a college student - I'm stickign with what I have, and my fish don't seem to mind.
