Right then, eyes down look in. (Grab a sandwich it’s a long one).
I heard dripping earlier this evening behind tank cabinet. I’ve water on shelf surface back left outside of tank on corner where hang inside filter is. Thats where both the filter and hood lighting cables enter beneath hood. Both cables are bone dry so no osmosis there.
Mrs lurch’s old tights foot knot on top of filter preventing frogbit and water lettuce roots being mangled by filter isn’t flopping outside of tank either.
Back of tank all around top top where reachable is bone dry.
Usual condensation under hood but any osmosis from that would leave a damp trace on tank rim and glass. I don’t think osmosis would create enough water to drip anyway but since I turned everything off and removed and dried hood there’s no dripping. Strange.

Im worried it’s not coming over the top of the tank. I think it may be leaking from tank bottom glass at back left side.
Unfortunately the only sensible position for tank in house is between Chimney breast and a wall. It’s an 850mm gap and tank is 740mm long which means I’ve a 45mm gap on each side and also at the back. Consequently I can’t reach the back bottom of tank. My First question is “ How do I shrink my hands?”
Apart from that my main worry is that the L/H side glass is flush with front and back glass at the top but now sits proud of them at the bottom of tank. It wasn’t like this on delivery. I think somehow the water pressures pushing the side glass outwards at the bottom. I would’ve noticed this discrepancy on delivery three months ago 40+ Years in construction industry mainly fitting kitchens and bedroom wardrobes gives you an eye for that stuff.
I’ve read in a few places that Interpet stuff leaves a bit to be desired. Anyone else had tank problems with them?
Im gonna leave it til midnight to see if water on cabinet gets bigger if it does I’ll take half the water out to relieve pressure on glass. Is this a decent idea? Or should I do it anyway?

Tomorrow I’ll either dig out the lidless spare little tank or buy a new little un. There’s only four guppies in since the bad boy moved into the old boy on the corners tank where apparently his behaviour has improved.I’ll move everything over to the new tank, empty the 120L and check for leaks in the garden.
Its the dripping stopping once I turned everything off and removed the hood that’s throwing me. The side-front glass misalignments a new thing and I can’t just ignore that or I’ll be laying awake at night anticipating a giant splash sound from downstairs.
Better safe than sorry eh? Plus it’ll be another albeit smaller tank in the house.

So Is removing 50% of the water tonight a good idea or not?....and has anyone similar interpet troubles?

The dripping was below the tank behind the cabinet from the cabinet top. Puddle on cabinet top doesn’t seen to be getting bigger, no dripping either.
Hmmmm.

I'm just gonna say it...

Should've bought that funky shapes tank. Can you put a cloth or piece of paper at the back to see if it's wet there? Use an Aquascape tweezers to put it in and out of tight space.

Dried everything off about 10PM last night. No additional leaked water at 2AM when I went to bed. None this morning when I woke up either. It’s a mystery. Hopefully doing my first python water change in a few minutes time.
