Interpet Mini Filter And Surface Movement

I have an Interpet mini filter for my 35 litre tank.  The outflow isn't adjustable so I'm finding it hard to get any surface movement.  Any ideas for how I can solve this problem?  Should I just get an airstone?

Did you not get the flow diverter nozzle with it, a little push on clear plastic item that directs the flow upward?

Argh no mine didn't come with that!  Aw shucks.

I found the original box in the garage and there it was still inside!  Problem solved.  Sometimes I'm glad I never throw anything out
