Has anyone used this before? I just put it in and it made the water brown. How long does this take to work and go away?
The product is for making the water clear.

My tank has FINALLY CYCLED BY THE WAY!!! WHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
In its 7th week! Today I woke up with a reading of Ammonia - 0ppm Nitrite - 0ppm and Nitrate 0.25ppm!
I did a fish in cycle and no fish died during the process because I was so pro-active at changing the water 2 a day!
WHAT A HEADACHE THAT WAS! But Im at the end of it. Will continue to test water daily though.

congratulations on the end of the pain!

Thank you!!!! SO HAPPY! thank! %$#@! :D

When will I be able to add more fish? or is it just a one at a time thing. Cause I remember doing this last time and I put shrimp in straight away when it cycled and I then got a Nitrite reading of 0.25ppm the next day...is that just the tank trying to balance out again?

I would, personally, prove that you have '0' Ammonia and '0' NitrIte FOR AT LEAST 2 full weeks before you think of adding anything else.

Terry.

Ok cool, will continue to test it everyday. Its a good thing to see a 0ppm in the morning when every single morning for 4 weeks I've been waking up to 1.0ppm though!! :D

Thanks guys!!!! You were are HUGE help in the process! SO glad I didnt lose any fish in the process! That would have really upset me! Hopefully I can relax now.

Filter aid is the best thing since sliced bread.

My cloudyness wouldn't go, it was a white haze, looking front on it didn't look too bad... until you looked into the side, you could barely see the other side. 40ml of filter aid and 5 hours later, the tank is so clear that you could put size 2 writing on one side and look through and still read it.

Can't big this product up enough. It does miracles and the best thing is, its HARMLESS.

I was always under the impression when you add new fish your nitrites will always be higher, for a little while.

Not in a properly, fully cycled tank, no. The Ammonia and NitrItes are 'eaten' as soon as they are produced.
