hey...i had 2 kribs and a couple of other fish including an angelfish in a 35 gallon planted tank...Both my kribs were acting ok up until now where my male started not to eat for a couple of days now...I have transferred the female krib to her own 15 gallon to get ready to spawn but as she grew stronger in the 15, my male began deteriorating in the 35; not eating and today, on its side at the bottom of the tank breathing heavily (gasping for air)...What is the best thing i could do to help my male krib, at most without giving medicine because i dont have a lift for a week...Right now he is in a bucket fully airated with an airstone and right now, he seems to stay upright (not to its side)....Its hard to see if he is still heavly breathing from above but right now i think i did the right thing in placing him in an airated bucket at room temp...After a couple of hours, i am hoping to place him and the airstone with the female in the 15 gallon all to themselves...Is this a right thing to do??? becuase i dont want him competing with the faster, larger fish in the 35 as hopefully, he gets better....Thanks for any replies...
P.S. both my tanks seem very healthy as all the fish including the angelfish in the 35 are acting 100% perfect, eating and swimming correctly...Even the female is doing fine in her 15g...I do not have any other test kits right now besides pH which is about 7 (nuetral) in both tanks/temp: 26 degrees celcius...Is their anything i could do once i place him in the 15 gallon; or should i just do my best by keeping the tank very clean, feed normally and hope for the best???

...what il do is take care of the female in the 15gallon to the best of my ability and as she grows i will eventually find her another mate...
