I bought 4 black kuhli loaches and instead of living in the log as i thought they would ALL of they decided to squeeze into the no fishing sign i have which happens to be hollow. will post some pics when i can.

Does anyone else have fish that just love to be different ?

YES  . I've been waiting for someone to post a forum like this. I have a Golden Loach and he hides in the most weird places and its perfectly normal its there natural instinct. Are you concerned?

my clown loach's used to do it in my old tank, happens all the time apparently so nothing to worry about :good:

 lol that's loaches being loaches I have 8 Kuhli's and I rarely see more than 3 who are quite adventures :good:

Clowns love there hidey wholes to :good: It cracks me up how they squeeze into the most impossible gaps and then are joined by more  making things even more snug.

The only Loaches I have that do not seem to follow this behaviour is my 6 zebra loaches there more of a out in the open play play and play  I do not know were they get the energy :fun:

I have two dojo loaches who never ever ever ever ever hide! They are quite crazy and swim all over the tankAnd for bottom feeders they sure like to swim to the top of my tank and eat there and then go to the bottom to eat leftovers.
