There's a little HM betta at the lfs who is labelled 'Passion Purple HM'. Basically, he's a deep purple with white edgeing on his fins. However, he looks like he's either had a case of fin rot or been in a tank where he's been chewed to pieces. He's been there for a while now and I have noticed a small improvment in his fins but not as much as I would've expected. Is he worth taking a chance on? Or should I wait for something with less issues? I can only have one male betta.

There's also a white HM Plakat (I think, I'm not good at labelling types but he's definately a short finned HM). I wanted a long fin HM though

Fin issues generally heal wonderfully with claen water. So long as he's active and has no signs of other health problems id go for him if you want him.
cheers

As said fins repair very easily with the right care, if you like him then he's certianly worth a chance :good:

He's been sold (which is good to see), and they had a new HM labelled purple mustard. I ALMOST took him home but there's a shop I want to check out who imports Bettas first (in Australia we don't have as easy access to the lovely Bettas you guys have). I couldn't really see his colouring real well as his tank wasn't real well lit. He looked nice though
