Instant Cichlid

Hi all

Has anyone used Instand Cihlid???

Instructions on the bucket are not great - I am trying to work out if this replaces the salt/minerals only or if it is a PH booster as well. I usually use Seachem Cichlid lake salt and Proper PH 8.2.

Would I use the Instant Cichlid with the PH 8.2?

It also states not to dillute before adding to the tank, sure if I add 100 litres of dechlorinated tap water to the tank then it will have a detrimental effect on the PH level. It states to add it slowly to the tank or the filter but maybe this is for new set ups??

Any advice would be gratefully received.

First off, to the forum!!

I don't use it. i tried to do a google search and didn't come up with anything either. I guess you can try it. Test it in a bucket of water. Find the ph of your water from your faucet. If it's lower then mix up some declorinated water and add instant cichlid per directions. Stir and make sure it all disolves, then test the water to see if it made a difference or not? Just and idea.
btw I use SeaChems Malawi/Victoria buffer.
