Is that Java moss? How often do you trim it? I'm just starting some mosses and hope they end up like yours

yup its java moss, I never trim it! been growing for over a year, I occasionally tear of a bit for friends tanks :)

definately reckomend it!
 
I love the wood you have in there, Ive been looking for some similar for mine.
How do you keep your Java moss looking so green? Mine got swamped by algae so had to bin it.
 
Lots of light and high flow/well oxygenated water. Java moss is 'reasonably' slow growing, so it doesn't really need dosed CO2 etc. also ramshorns! the only place I ever get algae in my tanks setup this way is on the cover glass ;p

I may well try some more soon, I think my main issue was not enough flow so may add a powerhead.
Hopefully it will look even half as good as yours :)
