Petco had a decent array of well cared for bettas - I saw a spade tail, a cambodian, and butterfly among them, and my heart fell for one especially, a creme-colored maroon-flecked veil tail. He is my last fish for a while, as I think my current few are fantastic
(That's a goldie and two corycats in one tank - will fix this situation later on, a female betta in another, and now this new lovely male betta in his own as well.)
I won some prize money for an essay contest and thought it would be the perfect occasion to spend it.
I have acclimated Sage to a 2.5 gallon tank next to Siobhan's new matching 2.5 gallon tank (I am not breeding), and have a picture! But it's a bad quality one for which I apologize.
I pulled out the thick white poster separating their view of each other for a few seconds to get a decent picture of them looking at each other. Flaring went down. I have replaced it since. Sage has already eaten, so I'm happy he's doing well! (What betta could resist a juicy mayfly?)
