Insect Thing Im My Tank?

ive got it in my net now, would you say to get it out and flush it? lol
 
Perhaps I would agree with Damsel Fly Larvae.. (doesn't look like dragonfly - which was my first thought too ;) )

thats the one! im bemused on how it got there! is it something i have done with water quality or are the sometimes common in fish tanks? think i should get rid guys?
 
yep i think think give it the golden flush, better be safe than sorry. it looks to close to the larvae that will hunt your fishys down.
 
thanx for that, got me scared with that came swimming out from nowhere!?! god knows what else is in my tank ha!

ya know if none of your fish have been hurt or eaten thus far I would just leave it. Its acting as clean up crew and eating excess food. I dont see any harm in that
 
Thats a Damsel Fly Nymph....
I'm 100% sure because I have them myself currently.
I actually caught the damn thing laying eggs in my tank...
I currently got 3 of them.

Apparently they are not to much of a trouble *only with fry*
dragon fly nymph on the other hand are troublesome for many small fish.

don't know how they are with Shrimp have been looking for information but cant find any.
p.s they are canabalistic sometimes =)

p.s they are fantastic at hiding =(
