Inline Heater With Fluval 305

I'd like to use the ETH inline heater on the return line of my Fluval 305. My concern is the ribbed hoses on the Fluval. As far as I know they are the only ones who use such hoses. Has anyone used an ETH with the Fluval lines? Will they seal properly?

I have two in line heaters on my two 405's they work fine. Only thing is its best to use the rubber end that comes with the filter pipes at the conection with the heater... these can be purchased on ebay for a few quid.

I use the Hydor External inline filter with my fluval. Works fine.
