Tank size: 34 litres
pH: around 8, but it's always been that high
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 20
kH: nk
gH: nk
tank temp: 27

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior): one hengel's rasbora has a red mark on one side. It looks as if he's been bleeding. If I didn't know better I'd think he'd been attacked, but that's unlikely with the fish in my tank (see below). Otherwise his behaviour is normal, he's still swimming with the others and still eating.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: 30% weekly, last time was Friday

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: nothing unusual, just the normal sponge in a Fluval internal filter

Tank inhabitants: 3 platys plus some fry, 6 hengel's rasboras

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): platy fry born last Weds/Thurs

Exposure to chemicals: none

Digital photo (include if possible): sorry, they move too fast!

Is there something I should be doing with this fish, or should I just leave him and see what happens?

if it looks like its been damaged and its minor, add some melafix, helps healing process and infections. Will be safe for your fry too. It certainly wont do any harm to try it. Keep an eye on it, post back if it starts behaving oddly, not eating, hiding, flicking, any external signs such as swelling in abdomen or anus.
