Last night my Boeseman Rainbow swam between a rock and the glass and got stuck!!
I have no idea how this happend  I slowly moved the rock away to free him,
He wasn't stuck for more than an hour, cos I was sitting close to the tank, but it seems he got hurt

Now there are greyish marks on one side of his body, it seems there's a small patch where the scales are gone too....

What must I do! Is there something I can put in the water so his bruising won't go infectious? HELP!

I FEEL LIKE CRYING!

Not to worry, I had a barb that did that he got stuck like that,

after i removed him he had similar marks, he hid and was very scared for about a week but he kept on living. I do belive there is medication you can put in to fix him up, but it dosnt look life threatening, just keep watching him for personality change.

If the wounds get worse take action

if somone else knows that treatment please post

I wouldn't add anything except for maybe Stress Coat. Just try to keep water clean, and feed him well. Until you see a sign of an infection, don't add any medication to the tank. Even then, I would relocate the fish to a hospital tank (you do have one don't you?), and treat only the injured fish.

A healthy fish should be able to fight off an infection from minor wounds without too much trouble.

Thanx guys - I feel better now - I'll keep an eye on him and take action if necessary
I just don't want him to die....
Never knew one can get so attached to fish, their personalities are absolutely amazing

what's "stress coat"?

It is a product made by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals. Any LFS should carry it. It is the product the LFS "squirts" into the bag when you purchase a fish. It helps maintain the slime coat on the fish. It is also very useful when there is a stressful situation occuring with the fish, like if you completely remodel and replant a tank, or add new fish etc. Very handy to keep a big bottle of it on hand.
