So I came home from work today and my favorite balloon molly (popeye) was stuck to the intake of the filter. I turned the filter off and his fins were all chewed up. (Could've been the danios I got 3 days ago) So, he's still alive, but swimming a little off and i'm worried. I dont have a hspital tank, and its too late to buy one-could I put him in a bowl, or should I  wait it out?

Dont put it in a bowl. If you can QT him that would be better. Keep an eye on him, make sure the water is good in the tank and add some melafix. Can you move the danios to another tank ?

Thanks for the reply. I am setting up a small tank for a hopital, I added melafix and for the most part He's doing ok and eating alright also. I have no idea what happened, most of my fish are very laid back. In my 60 gallon tank I have guppies, mollies, platys, rasporas and the danios. The 3 danios are new to my tank but for the first few days they were very good and acted just like guppies.
These are long finned blue danios, very graceful, about the size of, well, a guppy. There is one that is being a bit aggressive and acting different than the other two, she's hiding in the cave right now. I am pretty new to this type of fishy. any suggestions??

Danios can be boystrous. They swim around very fast in groups which can also stress other fish out.

If you move the Molly to another tank which isnt cycled, be sure to try and do daily 10% water changes at the start to keep ammonia levels down. If you dont know about weekly maintenance try this

If you do sorry just ignore me :hyper:

3 Danios can be a pain, they tend to control themselves more in a group of 5 or more. Personally stick with them but keep an eye on them, if they carry on causing troubles, maybe consider taking them back to your fish shop and changing them for something a bit more sombre  In a tank that size I would have thought you were OK though.

Do you have a water testing kit ? If so, check your water stats are OK.

Thanks for the help!
I siphoned off water from the big tank into the new one and put the foam from the big tanks filter in with it so the water should be ok. Testing says everythings good, ammonia really low and such. The molly is doing really good and swimming a bit more. I put some salt in the tank and am leaving the light off for most of the time. As soon I make sure he's not sickly I'll put him back in with the others
The danios calmed down a bit, so we'll see. I read somewhere that girly's act like that when they spawn :dunno: so Im wondering if maybe they were gettin frisky....I guess we'll see.
