injured gourami - need advice

Hey, i have a honey gourami who got injured by i assume one of my angels. I suppose it could be an injury from a decoration in the tank but it doesn't really look like it...the only decorations are red lava rock and plants. I had him secluded in a 1G bowl and was treating with Bettafix as it's just a milder melafix but the light that was keeping it warm burned out so i put him back in the big tank in a large breeding box, i'm still treating with the bettafix but now he's got white stringy poop.
Anyone have any other suggestions?
the only meds i have is maracyn and bettafix and aquarium salt
