I am just wondering what water ph and hardness some of these fish below need,

my water is 8.0 ph, and about 18GH, very hard !

Would I be able to keep these fish in my water?

Midas
Tri-Mac
Jack Dempsey
Flowerhorn
Texas Cichlid

Thats all I can think of for now ,,

i would say they would all work, just make sure where you get them from doesn't differ too much in param's to yours. if it does take longer acclimatising them.

:good:

you have perfect water conditions for africans. if i was you i would start researching african rift lake cichlids.

Yea, I did sorta know that my water was good for africans, I was told to check my kh to see if I could keep malawis, but it was fine for tangnikian(sp) affricans, Which I dont like, I like the malawis,

but africans I not on the top of my list atm

I hope you are not going to keep them all together Lol.

As for your water ... I would try to soften it if possible, but you may get lucky and find fish that have been in the water for a month or so.

I dont want to get these fish atm, I was just wondering, if i ever do get them.

I obviously would have the correct setup for them

Correct set up for these guys would be a 4x2x2 EACH (except dempsey and texas) or bigger Lol. They generally dont get along with other fish even with there breeding partners.
