Hi all

I was wondering if anybody has any experience with ornate ctenopomas aka Microctenopoma ansorgii. I have put down a deposit on 4 and only ever seen them in books :D So am really excited to get them. Any info is appreciated. :good:

Thanks :good: I just picked up the 5th one today, already one is showing his dominance flaring up and the like. They are taking frozen blood worm so I am very happy with them. I must just stay away from the local fish shop, that place is lethal to my wallet.

haha
tell me about it

mine has 3 banjo cats
and i just finsihed ordering 43 dollars worth of sand for them

but where did you get the microtenopoma?
if your store ordered em from somewhere im might be able to talk my lfs into getting them.

Hi

I am in South Africa and have no idea what dealer the lfs got them from. They were the first the owner had ever seen and had no idea what they were. Your best bet is going to be canvassing all your lfs's asking about their next Central African order as they are from the Congo or trying online even. They are not your everyday imports. Would do well in an African community tank with congo tetras and synodontis cats.
