Ive just finished cycling a 110l tank. Fishless. Ive added 3 danios.
The temperature is 26°c. What is the ideal temp for them and the best thing to feed them with?
I will be adding 4 guppies and two latties with them gradually over a a month or two. i feed my guppies and platties flakes. Would danios be ok with flakes??

I wouldn't add danio with guppies there fin nippers.
Flakes are ok, frozen foods, and veg.

Which type of danio do you have? There are a number of different types. Most prefer cooler temperatures though, so 26 is probably going to be at the high end of their temperature range. They're not fussy eaters so will take almost anything you feed.

Bear in mind that, although most species are small, they're very active swimmers and so need plenty of space. It's also recommended that you keep them in small schools (i.e. 6 or more).

I have my tank floating at around 25/26 and my Zebra Danios are just fine :)

I also have guppies in with mine and they don't bother with them, they just enjoy swimming against the filter and chasing each other.

I think they are zebra danios. I got them from pets at home. And all it said was danios. :/
I cant get my temperature lower as thats room temperature .

So aquarian advanced nutrition tropical flakes will be ok??
here is a pic of my danios. Its the best i could do as they swim very fast. They like my air curtain . They swim through it alot.

Aquarian flakes will be fine - they'll basically eat any food that can fit into their mouths. I've found Pets at Home are not brilliant when it comes to knowledge about livestock, so I'm not surprised the tank wasn't labelled.

i do buy fish from there but ive learnt not to take advice from them nomore. Every bit of advice they gave me has been wrong. They encouraged me to do a fish cycle. It had harsh effects on my fish which resulted in death. :(

Do you guys turn your filters/air pumps off when feeding your fish??
My new danios didnt come up to eat. Well only one swam up very quickly and had a nibble.

in my 30l i turn filter and airstone off and they no they are going to fed so they all come to the surface . It also stops their food flying all around my tank. How do you guys do it?

I deliberately put the food in the path of the filter outflow so they have to chase it. Gives them some exercise.

Your new danios are probably still figuring out the feeding routine. Once they settle in they'll start chasing the food as soon as it hits the water!
