Info on Angle fish

Hi

Im 15 and went in to get 2 angle fish for my fishtank first the lady asked how big is my tank i sed 2 foot or ( 60cm ) she told me to have 2 angles I need a 3 foot tank atleast to have them for more then 6 months.
I know they get big , they were small ones about 4cm high maybe 4cm long very small compared to the adult one in the tank. she said put the angles in last if you are going to get some because they like to dominate the tank, I didnt get angles in the end I got 5 of these rainbow coloured fish with red noes's

I want to know if I put can put 2 angles in a 2foot tank with 7 other small fish and keep the angles for more then 6 months.

She is an example all lfs should aspire too. She is correct. Your tank is ok for the said fish now, but not as adults, it needs to e 18" high at leaste for adults.

I agree with jflowers, unless the tank is 18" high you can't keep them in there longer than 6 months.

Angels need more vertical swimming space than horizontal, so deeper tanks are best for them.

Like the others said, I'm afraid its not a good thing for the angels if you'd keep them in your tank.

To house them you'll need a tank thats at least 18" high, and I doubt they'd go with your small fish. Angels are known for not getting along with small fish and often picking out some to eat. For this reason its recommened to not keep neon tetra sized fish with them, only bigger ones (Like zebra danio size and up)
