One of my six angelfish seems to be inflated or swollen, when it started about a month ago it almost looked like she had eggs inside (she has had eggs before many times), then it grew. Now she is massive. She has normal shape but very distinctive stomach and a second bump between the big bump and her tail. She swims and acts/feeds normal as all the others. What could it be? Anyway of treating it?

I read something about constipation being a possible cause but I dont have any other tank to put her into to allow herself to clean naturally. Anything I can feed her/them that would help?

THANK YOU!!!

HI scroll down on this link it may help http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/breeding/angelfish.php

How many gallons is your tank.
Your stocking. (How many fish and which variety)
Water stats would also help. ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

A swollen belly can be many things.
Constipation, swim bladder, over feeding, internal parasites, dropsy, egg bound, etc.

Can the fish maintain it's balance in the water?
Prutruding scales. Sticking out scales?
What does it look like when your fish goes to the toilet?
Does the anus look enlarged, or red and inflamed?
What do you feed your fish?
Any lumps beneath the skin, or top of the skin?
Any red streaking, or red blotches on the fish body, or fins?

For bloating.
Epson salt baths.
Feed pea, daphnia.
Avoid dry foods for a few days.
You can squeeze the fish gently to release built up gas. But
I would only recommend doing this procedure as a last resort.
