There is a few problems I do see... Bala sharks need a tank of 120 gallons or 454.2L. They also need to be in larger groups. Your bala sharks are goimg to grow out of the tank and probably already have. Another thing I see is that koi are cold water fish while balsa sharks are tropical water fish... So, the temperature range won't be right for one or the other. Bala sharks are also aggressive with other fish so that may lead to other problems. Now koi also need a larger tank, the minimum tank size for the smallest koi is 50 gallons. Do you know what species of koi you have?

Unless you plan on getting a huge pond, I would suggest returning the fish and getting something that doesn't grow as big.

Bala (aka silver) sharks can reach 10-12 inches long and need to be kept in groups.

Koi carp can reach 3 feet + in length and need massive ponds.
