Indian Biotope

I was posting on my SE Asian Biotope, and got an idea. Since I have a pair of golden wonder killifish, they won't be going back into the SEA Tank. I don't want to rehome them, because I love them so much. I was wondering if anyone could help me pick out a few fish to make an Indian tank. I have just been informed that zebra loaches are from India. I am trying not to get anything that's too smal, because the GWs will eat them. Here's some other fish that I found native to India:
Pearl Danio
Zebra Danio
Giant Danio
Leopard Danio
Bengal Danio
Queen Danio
Rosy Barb
Clown Barb
Spanner Barb
Black Ruby Barb
Five-Banded barb
Tinfoil barb
Tiger Barb
Cherry Barb
White Cloud

Going by the list, I think I am going to go with a small school of some larger danio or tetra and maybe a loach of some kind. Any comments?
