Once again my indecisiveness plagues me and of course my aquatic habitats. I would sincerely appreciate any input on what to do with a 29 gallon on a somewhat modest budget. This habitat will initially be holding several schools of miscellaneous tetras but will evemtually be home to platies and various mollies. In the design I would like to include mainly artificial silk plants, bits of driftwood, and possibly terra cotta pots and/or slate caves. Black gravel will most certainly be used and the lighting shall remain flourescent. Thank you in advance for all comments.

black gravel is cool .... but black sand would be cooler

I built some caves of my own with slate and aquarium sealant, just make sure it cures first.
Nothing beats the look of live plants ... just pick some that have low maintance/light requirements. If you like to rearrange alot put them in small terracotta pots.

ummm ... Just how many fish are you talking about putting in there? something on the bottom ... like corys might add some interest.

My cory school has growm quite large and I am actually looking forward to enlarging it with diverse species
