Yes, me again :p ( sorry if I'm starting to annoy you with my questions )

I need to know which order to set things up in my tank.

now the hardscaping will obviously be the first thing I would do and the fish being last.

But in which order is it best to do the other things in?

I will be setting up CO2, planting plants, with regards to doing a fishless cycle?

Regards

Jake

Thanks once again llj.

So if I'm reading this correctly, there is no need to me to do a fishless cycle providing I add some mulm and run the tank with CO2 and plants for 2-3 months prior to adding fish?

oh god, it all seems so bloody confusing

If you are running a CO2 system, then yes. Go this order CO2, Plants, fish. If it's a non-CO2 system, then I just plant the plants, wait a couple of days for everything to clear, and then add the fish at a slower pace. Kind of like a modified "fish in" cycle, except you will not experience loss or ammonia spikes. It works out well for me since I get most of my stock online and can almost never get all of it at once! Imagine the shipping!

But you are doing a CO2 system, so yes, Dave Spencer's article explains it well. Loved that article, one of my favorites. I really need to dig through planted and archive all of the other chats and debates and pin them. We get into some big discussions here.

Go fill out this. Meet the Planted People I like the idea of this and will pin it permanently once more people fill it out.

Thanks for the reply llj,

Due to my location I will also be ordering my stock online, but probs all seperate so plants, then fish etc.

Any recommendations of online fish shops?
