Hey everyone,

I am very worried about my female black molly. When I first got her a week ago she was lively, loved to eat, (did not feed her to much, which was my friends first concern) and loved to swim around and annoy her mate. Earlier this morning I fed my mollys like usually but the female saw the food and went to the back of the tank. Odd, but I brushed it off. Later this evening I check her yet again (classes today) and now she is laying at the bottom of the tank. The tank is cared for, all the water levels are fine, and the salt is at the right amount for the tank. So I do not think it is water conditions. He scales are normal, her breathing is fine, and every once in a while she was move and go back to the bottom after a few moments. And a little bit ago when I gave them a small pinch of food she swam up, ate it, but is now at the bottom of the tank once more. It has crossed my mind that she may be pregnant, but i also read of a few diseases that may cause these symptoms.

So I would really like any help I can get on this matter

thanks

Hi Amanda, welcome to the forum.

Can you give us some more info on your set up, please?

How big is the tank, how long has it been set up and exactly what fish are in it?
What are the actual numbers from your tests, and what are you using to do your tests?
How much salt are you adding, and how often, and how often and how large are your water changes?
