All in all I'm pretty happy with the way things are progressing at the moment when it comes to my tanks and fish.
Despite my tank still being in a bit of a mess with the plants/some algae, I still really like it, so I thought I'd share a few pics and a little video :).

Here's my angel on the day I got him:

And here he is exactly 5 months and 21 days later, over twice the size :D :

This is my old tank that I used for 6 or 7 years (look carefully and you can see the angel):

And here is my new tank (juwel trigon 190) that's been set up for about 3 months now :D :

Finally, a video of my fish eating an algae wafer, take a look at the size of the yo-yo loaches belly as he swims past  .

Video here.

Thanks for looking :).

Yep, lovely little koi angel you've got there! :)

Wow, nice one dude.
Just one question....where's the cube?
Thanks! Due to various small and silly factors...it got too neglected and the plants basically all starved each other of light :(.
It was sitting empty for a couple of months, but a couple of days ago I set it up for some Triops cancriformis. After they have all passed on, I'll be setting it up again as a planted tank, but with slower growing plants and different substrate/decor :good:. Or possibly a nano planted paludarium...
Here it is right now though as the triops tank:

Thank you :D. There's actually tonnes of fish in there, but they were either moving too fast for the pic and I never see them all at once because of the space at the back and all the wood/plants/slate in the tank.

Various tetras/danios/minnows accumulated over time, 5 bronze corys, 3 platies, 2 rams, 2 yo-yo loaches, an 'orange' rainbow, a banjo catfish, 2 peacock gobies, 2 marbled hatchet fish, a plakat betta, 2 bristlenoses, 3 SAE's, the angel and my featherfin syno. Also a nerite snail, and what must be hundreds of MTS.

Soft water with pH 6.5 and 10ppm of NO3 just before water changes :good: .

the floating plant in the pic above what is it? ,as it looks really nice and well grown

Amazon frogbit, send me an stamped and addressed envelope and you can have some :). Like most floating plants, it's really useful for nitrate reduction and the fish love it, but it grows so damn fast I'm throwing handfuls of it on the compost every few days  .

If I let it grow, the other plants would get no light.
