I you guy's,

I have a question. I think that my female Betta has swim blatter  my boyfriend told me to put her next to my male fishes so she could flare at them and she did. then i stopped feeding her for bout a day 1/2. she seemed to be better. sh started swimming more and her color got back to normal, but my question is how can i know when she is really okay?

Please help,
Becky

Wuv, Bkk, or other betta masters,

Tell my gf that her female will be okay, as long as she doesn't over feed. I tell her, but she doesn't listen to me.

Agreed, don't overfeed and try to offer some fresh or frozen a couple of times a week. Swim bladder is from too much dry food. You can even boil a tiny piece of zucchini and then give her tiny shreads, she'll love it

yahh, like wuv says.
with young fry, it's quite common for them to get a bit of swim bladder from too much baby brine shrimp but they almost always grow out of it as soon as you start feeding them less and varying their diet. (variety is the spice of life) same goes for adult bettas ;)
