about 20 mins then she got scared she keeps doing it but getting interupted ive turned out all the lights hoping that will make it more peaceful she probilly give brth when iam asleep.

She probably headed there for some peace and quiet!.She may have been getting harassed by other fish as they will sometimes harass a heavily pregnant fish to try and get it to drop the fry so they can have a meal!
Ive seen a couple of my platys just hanging in the plants before they have given birth so hopefully you wont have to wait much longer for the fry. :)

Sorry to hear that. You must be really disappointed :(

I've just read this and was thinking if she was in the plants for a few hours undisturbed it is possible that she did give birth to some of her fry before she passed away and that they may still be lurking in the plants or maybe under a few things! You might benefit from keeping an eye peeled for any hunting type behaviour from the other fish who might have spotted a fry! Its only a thought though!

It was worth a try! Good luck with this one hope its not too long now until she gives birth! If she's giving birth in the tank try and ensure that there are plenty of different hidding places for the fry to hide in and not any of your other fish!

i have these tiny pots that a fry can fit into but an adult cant and a little cave for only fry plus 4 plants with decent coverage also a pile of stone around my air pump with small gap inbetween great for hiding
