My LFS has been closed for some strange reason and my fish haven't have anything to eat for over 24 hours now so I'm wondering what I can put in the tank seeing as though I've run out of fish food.

I have a lettuce and a tomato in the fridge which isn't really being used, could I perhaps blanche them? and put them in the tank, or scoop out the seeds on the inside of the tomato then blanche it so I can put it in?

I'm really out of ideas. :grr:

Lettuce should be fine with most community fish, you could try the tomato as you suggest.

It is unlikely that your fish will come to any harm through being without food for a couple of days though.

your fish will be fine so i wouldnt worry.

ive not fed mine for about 4 days once and they can go atleast a week without anything.

alot of people actually miss days feeding on a regular basis.

gives the fish a chance to have a clear out and eat all the scraps in the tank.
